Luciana D’Intino - Santuzza

One of today’s most appreciated mezzo, after her outstanding success in Aida at the Covent Garden in London, the Sunday Times wrote: «a glorious mezzo soprano...the most exciting Italian singer in her role in the last years».

Particularly appreciated in Italian and French repertoire she has established an extraordinary international career, performing regularly on the world’s most prestigious concert stages and opera houses including Teatro alla Scala, Metropolitan in New York, Covent Garden in London, Wiener Staatsoper, Staatsoper unter den Linden in Berlin, Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, Opernhaus in Zürich, Teatro Municipal in Santiago de Chile, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Teatro Comunale in Bologna, Teatro dell’Opera in Rome, Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Teatro Regio in Parma and Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro.

She worked with such conductors as Salvatore Accardo, Daniel Barenboim, Semyon Bychkov, Myung-Whun Chung, Colin Davis, Daniele Gatti, James Levine, Lorin Maazel, Zubin Mehta, Riccardo Muti and George Prêtre.

Amongst her recent engagements it is worth mentioning her return to Opéra National de Paris as Amneris in Verdi’s Aida (for the 2013/14 season opening night) followed by Adriana Lecouvreur in Bilbao, Il Trovatore (Azucena) at Teatro alla Scala, Aida in Vienna and Cavalleria Rusticana in Florence.

Rudy Park - Turiddu*

Particularly appreciated in the Verdi and Verismo repertoire, he made his debut as Calaf (Turandot) in 2008 in Italy, after studying at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome. He then furthered his studies in Italy and Germany. Among his past successes, it is worth mentioning: Tosca at the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona and at the Festival Puccini in Torre del Lago; Ernani at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna (and then on tour in Japan); Cavalleria Rusticana and Trovatore in Athens; Turandot in Genoa and Skopje; Norma in Budapest. In 2011 Mr. Park made his debut at the Nikikai Opera Foundation as Calaf in Turandot under the baton of Gianluigi Gelmetti, after that he starred as Arrigo in I Vespri Siciliani in Athens, as Turiddu in Cavalleria Rusticana in Las Palmas and Sassari. Mr. Park participated in Cavalleria Rusticana at the Teatro alla Scala and he recently obtained a great success as Radames in Aida in Liege and Skopje, as Mario Cavaradossi in Tosca in Genoa, as Calaf in Turandot at the Michigan Opera, Bogotà, Detroit, Nancy and Cagliari.

Rudy Park made his debut as Otello at the Korea National Opera in Seoul, role he sang also in Las Palmas.

Plans: Turandot and Tosca at the Festival Puccini in Torre del Lago; Aida in Warsaw; Turandot at the Festival in Sanxay, in Las Palmas and in Montpellier where he will also star in Il Tabarro.
